Dr. Kehinde Andrews is Associate Professor in Sociology at the School of Social Sciences at Birmingham City University and developed the Europe’s first Black Studies undergraduate degree. He is also director of the Centre for Critical Social Research, founder of the Harambee Organisation of Black Unity, and co-chair of the Black Studies Association.
He has made many broadcast appearances including BBC Newsnight, BBC Sunday Morning Live and Russell Brand’s Under the Skin podcast, writes for the Guardian among other outlets, and has made videos for BBC Viewsnight, Guardian Online and TED Talks. His Guardian Online piece ‘The West Was Built on Racism’ has been viewed over 10m times on Facebook, to date.
