“Ever Get the Feeling You’ve Been Cheated?” was the question asked by lead singer of the then, infamous, Sex Pistols’ lead singer Johnny Rotten (John Lydon) on 14thJanuary 1978 at the end of the band’s appearance at the Winterland in San Francisco that concluded their US tour.Lydon’s frustrations were borne of his sense that he was part ofsomething that no longer had authenticity. Anyone who has ever considered what emerges naturally will be amazed at the way ideas evolve and the latent energy that accompanies the excitement of change. It is significant that the last song of the set was a version of Stooges classic “No Fun”.
