Abstract

Centre for Brexit Studies Director Professor Alex de Ruyter has made the case for a Universal Basic Income, and the difference it could make during a global crisis like the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.The current Covid-19 pandemic has shone a cruel lighton the fact that millions of people in the UK have lost their jobs and are now being forced to rely on the benefits system.
