Abstract

This chapter explores the development of jazz in higher education and the critical discourse surrounding jazz pedagogy today. Specifically, I engage with critical tensions that have shaped the landscape of jazz education and examine the ways in which jazz pedagogy has adapted to changing social circumstances.
